The services we offer generate revenue, which is then reinvested into New Dawn. The Antigonish Affordable Housing Society (AAHS) seeks to break the cycle of poverty and enhance the quality of life for vulnerable individuals by providing community-supported, high-quality, affordable, and energy-efficient housing, along with tenant support services to facilitate community building. Their projects include Riverside Estates, completed in two phases (2017 and 2018), Appleseed Court (opened in 2022), and a 2-unit home donated in 2023, resulting in 28 occupied units, with plans for 17 more homes. Tenants, who come from diverse backgrounds benefit from improved financial stability, community support, security, and enhanced well-being.

The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul (SSVP) is an international Catholic volunteer organization established in 1833 by Frédéric Ozanam, a young student at the University of Sorbonne in Paris. Inspired by Saint Vincent de Paul, the organization provides holistic support to impoverished individuals and families. SSVP has expanded to over one hundred countries, including Canada, where it started in Halifax in 1853, beginning with home visits to offer firewood, food, friendship, and care. Today, the Halifax Particular Council coordinates the activities of sixteen conferences throughout the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth, continuing to address the root causes of poverty while offering practical assistance.

Tawaak Housing Association, established in 1981, is a private non-profit housing corporation committed to delivering suitable, adequate, and affordable housing for Aboriginal peoples with low to moderate incomes in urban areas of Nova Scotia. Owning and managing fifty-four properties comprising one hundred and forty-five units under the Urban Native Housing Program and the Private Non-Profit Housing Program, Tawaak focuses on meeting the distinct housing needs of the urban Aboriginal population. Its portfolio is mostly in Halifax and Dartmouth, with additional properties in Sydney, Truro, Antigonish, Liverpool, and Bridgewater. Supported by both the Federal Government and the Government of Nova Scotia, Tawaak Housing has significantly enhanced the quality of housing for Aboriginal communities through culturally sensitive administration and support.
