Big numbers for housing in Canada’s 2026 Federal Budget!
The federal government has proposed $44.7 billion in housing investments over the next 11 years, with Build Canada Homes hoping to deliver 200,000 new homes across Canada over the next decade.
The budget also mentions plans to triple annual non-market housing starts to 24,000, expand affordable housing and invest in supportive housing, and strengthen efforts addressing homelessness.
