Previously known as Riverview Enhanced Living, Balsam Care is a community of homes and services for adults with disabilities.
Founded on compassion, we operate with excellence. Our roots in Lunenburg County inspire us, like the balsam tree, nurturing individuals to flourish
- Currently a Disability Service Provider funded by DCS.
- We serve over 100 individuals in the Lunenberg County area.
- We serve people experiencing homelessness, Racialized persons/communities, Persons living alone, Low-income households, Seniors, People living with mental illness (e.g., Bipolar disorder, Schizophrenia, etc.), People living with addictions, People with physical disabilities (e.g., reduced mobility, visually impaired, etc.), People with developmental disabilities (e.g., Down’s syndrome, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Autism, etc.), People experiencing social isolation
