The Antigonish Guysborough Black Housing Association (AGBHA) is a non-profit organization committed to providing affordable housing solutions for the Black community in the Antigonish and Guysborough regions. The association focuses on addressing housing inequalities, promoting community development, and ensuring that residents have access to safe, affordable, and adequate housing. AGBHA works to improve the quality of life for its community members by advocating for their needs and fostering a sense of community through various programs and initiatives.
- Developing and managing affordable housing units for Black residents in the Antigonish and Guysborough regions
- Providing support services such as housing counseling, financial literacy programs, and tenant advocacy
- Collaborating with local organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders to address housing disparities and promote community development
- Organizing community events and workshops to foster engagement and social cohesion
